Discover the New AMPP Chapter Officers Resources Page: Everything You Need, All in One Place
Lead & Succeed | Chapter Leader Toolkit
Chapter leaders juggle events, volunteers, communications, sponsorships, member questions, and day-to-day operations. You should not have to start from scratch every time. The AMPP Chapter Leader Resources page is designed to help you find the tools, guides, templates, and support you need in one place.
The Key Idea
Before you build a new form, template, process, or document, check whether AMPP already has a resource you can use.
What You’ll Get From This Guide
- Where to find chapter tools and resources
- What kinds of materials are available
- A simple “where should I start?” guide
- Ways to use the page during leadership transitions
- A quick resource check before creating something new
Your First Stop for Chapter Support
Leading a chapter involves a lot of different responsibilities, and many of them may be new to the volunteers taking them on.
One month you may be planning an event. The next, you are building a sponsorship package, writing an email, recruiting volunteers, reviewing chapter policies, or trying to figure out which logo file to use.
The Chapter Leader Resources page is intended to make those tasks easier by bringing commonly used chapter materials together in one place.

What You May Find There
Resources may evolve over time, but the goal is simple: help chapter leaders find practical support without having to recreate everything themselves.
LOOK FOR RESOURCES SUCH AS
- Kits and guides
- Chapter forms
- Marketing templates
- Brand resources
- Officer and leadership guidance
- Event-planning resources
- Sponsorship tools
- Education and course resources
- Lead & Succeed articles
- Training videos and other support materials
A GOOD FIRST QUESTION
“Does AMPP already have a tool for this?”
Not Sure Where to Start?
Start with the task in front of you.
| If You’re Trying To… | Look For… |
|---|---|
| Plan an event | Event-planning guides, promotion resources, forms, and committee tools |
| Promote your chapter | Social templates, brand guidance, email tips, and Lead & Succeed resources |
| Find sponsors | Sponsorship guidance, packages, recognition ideas, and revenue resources |
| Recruit volunteers | Role descriptions, committee resources, recruitment guidance, and leadership tools |
| Host education | Course-hosting information, agreements, planning guidance, and education resources |
| Run chapter operations | Officer guidance, financial resources, policies, digital tools, and handoff materials |
Don’t Recreate What Already Exists
Volunteer time is one of your chapter’s most limited resources.
If AMPP already provides a flyer template, committee guide, form, checklist, or planning resource, start there.
USE → ADAPT → SHARE
Use the existing AMPP resource, adapt only what is intended for chapter customization, and make sure the final version is easy for your team to find again.
BEFORE YOU CREATE SOMETHING NEW
☐ Check the Chapter Leader Resources page
☐ Search Lead & Succeed
☐ Check your chapter’s existing files
☐ Ask another officer whether a resource already exists
☐ Contact AMPP chapter support if you still cannot find what you need
Make It Part of New-Officer Onboarding
New chapter officers should not have to discover every AMPP resource by accident.
Add the Chapter Leader Resources page to your leadership-transition process.
NEW OFFICER ORIENTATION
☐ Bookmark the resource page
☐ Review the sections most relevant to the officer’s role
☐ Show where chapter-specific files are stored
☐ Explain who to contact at AMPP with questions
☐ Share the Lead & Succeed blog as an ongoing reference
Point Officers to the Resources They Actually Need
You do not need every officer to read every guide.
| Role | Useful Starting Topics |
|---|---|
| Chapter Chair | Leadership, planning, volunteer systems, governance, and chapter operations |
| Treasurer | Financial stewardship, budgeting, revenue, and current chapter requirements |
| Marketing / Communications | Branding, social templates, email, event promotion, member stories, and marketing measurement |
| Events / Technical Programs | Event planning, promotion, committees, speakers, attendance, and education resources |
| Membership / Volunteers | Member engagement, recognition, volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention |
Keep Your Own Chapter Resources Organized Too
AMPP can provide shared tools, but your chapter will still create local materials over time.
Keep those files in one agreed-upon location so future officers can find them.
THINK
AMPP Resources = Official Starting Point
Chapter Files = Your Local Working Library
YOUR CHAPTER LIBRARY MIGHT INCLUDE
- Past event plans
- Approved local marketing materials
- Sponsor contacts and packages
- Volunteer role notes
- Leadership handoff documents
- Useful event photos
- Meeting templates
- Local procedures and recurring timelines
Go Back to the Source
Downloaded files and old chapter copies can become outdated.
When a process, policy, form, financial requirement, course arrangement, or other operational detail matters, check the current AMPP resource instead of assuming an older saved copy is still correct.
WHEN IN DOUBT
Use the current AMPP resource page or contact chapter support before relying on an old file.
Make Resource Review Part of Your Chapter Rhythm
EASY TIMES TO CHECK FOR RESOURCES
- At the start of a new officer term
- Before planning a major event
- Before creating new forms or templates
- Before launching a new sponsorship effort
- Before hosting an AMPP course
- During annual chapter planning
- Whenever a volunteer says, “I don’t know how to do this.”
THE GOAL
Chapter leaders should spend less time searching, recreating, and guessing—and more time leading, connecting, and delivering value to members.
YOUR 30-SECOND RESOURCE CHECK
Before Starting From Scratch:
- Have I checked the Chapter Leader Resources page?
- Have I searched Lead & Succeed?
- Does our chapter already have something similar?
- Is there an official AMPP version I should use?
- Could another officer already know the answer?
- Should I ask chapter support before building something new?
TRY THIS AT YOUR NEXT LEADERSHIP MEETING
Take a 10-Minute Resource Tour
Open the Chapter Leader Resources page together.
Ask each officer to identify one resource that could make an upcoming task easier. Then save the page somewhere the whole team can access throughout the year.
What to Take Away From This
Chapter leadership comes with a lot of moving pieces, but you do not have to solve each one alone.
Use the Chapter Leader Resources page as your first stop, connect the right resources to the right officer, keep your local files organized, and return to current AMPP sources when requirements may have changed. The easier your tools are to find, the easier it becomes for volunteers to lead well.
